Teaching Philosophy

I believe the early years of children's lives are most essential to their development. My role as a teacher is to build a class environment that is loving and supportive. At the same time, it is important to help each child develop a positive self-image. This is fostered in an environment that celebrates each child's talents, interests, and individuality.

About Me

I am thrilled to be a part of SouthLake Preschool. I have loved working with young children in early education for over 30 years. I believe in the importance of providing a supportive classroom environment that allows children to gain confidence and feel ready to embrace new challenges. My goal is to create a nurturing atmosphere with engaging curriculum that meets the needs of a diverse group of learners and fosters a lifelong love of learning. I received my Bachelor of Arts degree from Santa Clara University and my California Life Teaching Credential from San Jose State University. I am married to Eric and we are blessed with 3 children: Caitlin, Molly and Matthew. I have been attending services at SouthLake church since December and I am looking forward to teaching children about God’s love. I am also excited to begin a partnership with each and every family.
